How to Enter Setup Mode:

  1. Press and hold the brake.
  2. Turn the parking lights on and off 10 times.
  3. On the 11th time, leave the parking lights ON.
  4. Release the brake—this will activate WiFi search mode.

At this point, if you search for WiFi on your cellphone or PC, you should see a network named "Corso X" (A, B, C, or D).

  • You can configure the channel (A, B, C, or D) using DIP switches 1 and 2.
  • This allows you to use up to four separate modules, for example, two for the headlights and two for the taillights.

Connecting to the Module:

  1. Connect to Corso X WiFi.
    • The password is "password".
  2. Open a web browser and enter "1.2.3.4" in the address bar.
  3. The settings page will appear.
  4. Select your desired settings and make sure to click Save before navigating away.
  5. Once you finish configuring everything, turn off the parking lights.
    • From now on, the module will operate according to your saved settings.

DIP Switch Functions:

  • Switch 1 & 2: Channel selection (A, B, C, or D).
  • Switch 3: Headlight/Taillight mode selector.

Sequential Control Module,

14+14 Channels

14 Channel Color A (typically White or Red)

14 Channel Color B (typically Yellow/Amber)

GND power/control Ver 2.00 | each

300mA per channel MAX

Thank you for purchasing CorsoMotion’s LED sequential modules Ver2.00. With a very easy DIP switch function selector, you can choose functions from popular sequential motions.

These LED sequential modules are designed to work with our ‘Custom Made Boards’ however, if you use less than 300mA per channel, other LED setups should be fine.

These LED sequential modules require 12v car power and ground to operate. The input voltage for these modules is 12v car power and the outputs to control the LEDs operate on the ground.

The current version does not support the Input ‘O’

Functions

Mode switch:

You will use this module to your headlight or taillight. You can choose the mode with DIP switch #9.

9:Off – Taillight mode

9:On – Headlight mode

Most of the animation functions will be the same but the major difference is,

When the taillight mode is chosen, when parking or brake lights LEDs (red) are ON, and when the Turn signal is On, the module Keep TURNING ON the parking light LEDs ( please imagine regular taillights )

When the headlight mode is chosen, when the parking lights LEDs (white) are ON, and when the Turn signal is On, the module TURNS OFF the parking light LEDs ( such as the switchback module )

Parking Lights:

The module can get the 12v power from ‘Parking lights +’ or ‘Headlights +’ and it will control the parking lights. A preset animation will be played once and LEDs will stay ON. You can choose 4 LED animation designs. {DIP switch Ch. 7, 8}.

7:Off 8:Off – No animation, just ON instantly 100% brightness

7:Off 8:On – Animation style A

7:On 8:Off – Animation style B

7:On 8:On – Animation style C

Brakes:

The module can get the 12v power from Brake + and it will control the brake lights. A preset ‘Blink’ and ‘Pulse’ animation will be played once and LEDs will stay ON.

You can choose the blink time from no blink to blinks 3 times, {DIP switch Ch. 1, 2}. Also, you can adjust flicker speed by 10 steps using a dial on the board.

1:Off 2:Off – No blink, just ON instantly 100% brightness

1:Off 2:On – Blinks 1 time

1:On 2:Off – Blinks 2 times

1:On 2:On – Blinks 3 times

Blink Dial – Blink speed adjustment with 10 steps

After the flicker animation played once, you can get the Pulse effect {DIP switch Ch. 3} and can adjust the speed of pulse effect by 10 steps using a dial on the board.

3:Off – No pulse, just ON instantly 100% brightness after the blink mode played once

3:On – Pulse animation ON

Pulse Dial – Purse speed adjustment with 10 steps

Turn Signals:

The module can get the 12v power from Turn signal + and it will control the Turn signal lights. A preset ‘Turn Signal’ animation will be played once.

You can choose the Turn Signal animation, {DIP switch Ch. 4,5, and 6}. Also, you can adjust the turn signal animation speed to fit your car’s turn signal speed by 10 steps using a dial on the board.

4:Off 5:Off 6:Off – No Turn Signal animation, just ON instantly 100% brightness

4:Off 5:Off 6:On – Sequentially instantly LEDs ON from Ch.1 to Ch.14

4:Off 5:On 6:Off – All Ch. ON and instantly turns off from Ch.1 to Ch.14

4:Off 5:On 6:On – Same as above but when the LEDs are off, they turn off slowly not instantly

4:On 5:Off 6:Off – Sequentially instantly LEDs ON from Ch.1 to Ch.14 and after 5 Ch. LEDs will turn off instantly

4:On 5:Off 6:On – Same as above but when the LEDs are off, they turn off slowly not instantly

4:On 5:On 6:Off – Sequentially instantly LEDs ON from Ch.1 to Ch.14 and after 10 Ch. LEDs will turn off instantly

4:On 5:On 6:On – Same as above but when the LEDs are off, they turn off slowly not instantly

Advantages of Using the Common Positive System in Automotive LED Lighting

In automotive LED lighting, the common positive system is widely used due to its numerous advantages. Here are some key reasons why this method is preferred:

🔹 1. Simplified Wiring and Reduced Costs

  • In a common positive system, the vehicle chassis (metal body) serves as the ground (negative connection) for all electrical components.
  • This reduces the need for additional negative wires, simplifying the wiring structure and lowering production and installation costs.
  • It also minimizes wiring complexity, making it easier to maintain and troubleshoot.

🔹 2. Increased Reliability and Stability

  • Since all components share a stable positive voltage source, voltage fluctuations are minimized, ensuring consistent LED brightness and performance.
  • The chassis ground provides a low-resistance path, improving overall electrical efficiency and reducing the risk of connection failures.

🔹 3. Compatibility with Automotive Electrical Systems

  • Most automotive electrical systems, including headlights, brake lights, and turn signals, use common positive wiring to maintain standardization across different components.
  • This allows seamless integration of additional LED modules or aftermarket lighting without requiring major modifications to the vehicle's electrical system.

🔹 4. Better Protection Against Electrical Faults

  • In case of a short circuit, the negative (ground) side is affected rather than the power supply, reducing the risk of damaging the entire system.
  • This design helps protect LEDs and other electronic components from sudden voltage spikes and electrical failures.

🔹 5. Easier Integration with Control Modules

  • Many LED controllers and dimmers used in automotive applications are designed to work with common positive configurations.
  • This makes it easier to integrate RGB LED strips, DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), and other lighting systems without additional circuit modifications.

Conclusion

The common positive system in automotive LED lighting offers simplified wiring, improved reliability, compatibility with vehicle electrical systems, better fault protection, and easier integration with controllers. These advantages make it the preferred choice for manufacturers and aftermarket installers, ensuring efficient and stable LED lighting performance.
